welcome to the official website of the 5th International Rural Tourism Congress!

We are extremely pleased to announce that, in the period from 27 to 30 April 2022, we will welcome numerous scientists and experts from various European countries to the beautiful town of Cavtat and accommodate them in the wonderful Hotel Croatia.

This will be a great opportunity to present scientific papers, exchange experiences with other guests, introduce numerous examples of good practice, attend various workshops, and participate in several round tables and panels.

An inevitable part of the Congress will be a trip to the beautiful rural parts of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County, especially to the municipality of Konavle, as well as an excursion to the Pearl of the Adriatic – Dubrovnik.

In addition to numerous Congress organisers, partners and sponsors, your host will be the Croatian Association for Tourism and Rural Development “The Village Membership Club” (in Croatian: Hrvatska udruga za turizam i ruralni razvoj “Klub članova Selo”), which will also serve as the official Secretariat of the Congress and one of its organisers.

Our Association has been actively working on the rural and regional development of the Republic of Croatia for almost 25 years, and it has paid special attention to rural tourism and its distinctive forms. We have organised over 300 professional and educational seminars, several international and national conferences and professional meetings, and four international scientific and professional congresses on rural tourism so far. We have used the same level of enthusiasm, professionalism and dedication in the organisation of the 5th International Rural Tourism Congress and we will be extremely honoured to be your hosts.
